IoMT At Risk. A Wider.Team Critique of Digital Identity Threats to the Internet of Medical Things

Wednesday, June 23
1:30pm - 1:55pm MDT

The Internet of Medical Things’ identity layer has as much or more complexity than human identity. So the pursuit of High Assurance Digital Identity (HADI) is that much more urgent and difficult. IoMT is growing rapidly in census, functional diversity, interconnectivity, intelligence, regulation, economics, and pervasiveness.

All signs show IoMT Identity of Things (IDoT) challenges are growing faster than our abilities to deal with them. This is especially true of health systems, the biopharmaceutical industries, and governments.

In this session, our speakers will highlight healthcare industry findings from the Wider.Team 2021 State of IDoT Report. We walk through: How we observe these trends; The many ways these complexity bombs are forming; Some common causes; Approaches to risk tradeoffs and cost containment; A Wardley-inspired doctrine to help gate initiatives and focus effort.
