Angela Gartland currently serves as the Internal Revenue Service Director, Identity Assurance. In this role, she provides strategic business direction for enterprise authentication and authorization initiatives, to include the IRS online identity verification and authentication platform, e-Signature strategy and policy, and authorization capabilities. Angela also serves as the Inflation Reduction Act Initiative Lead for Streamline Multi-Channel Customer Assistance. Prior to this position, Angela served as the Director, Government Entities, Director, Employee Plans Examinations, and Director, Small Business and Self-Employed Technology Solutions Project Management Office. Angela began her career as a Revenue Agent after graduating in 1988 from Philadelphia University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She has a Masters Certificate in Project Management, is a certified Project Management Professional, holds a certificate in Public Policy from George Washington University, and is a graduate of the Federal Senior Executive Services Program.
