In this role Dean is responsible for leading the team in developing, executing and managing a single enterprise view, strategy and plan for Customer facing authentication and protection across TD, creating a consistent set of shared capabilities and Customer experience to protect the bank and Customers alike.
Dean joined the bank in 2012 and was most recently Head of Digital & Payments Operations, Governance & Controls. Prior to TD, Dean was part of the executive team for the ING DIRECT USA startup in 2000, leading the build of contact center technology and web development. He then held several executive positions in Customer Service, Marketing and Home Loans up to and after the Capital One acquisition.
Dean's 25 year career in financial services has always been focused on the Customer in leading edge direct channels and has spanned time in Canada with Bank of Montreal and the ING DIRECT Canada startup.
A born and raised Canadian and naturalized American residing in Philadelphia, Dean is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a B.S. in Chemistry and extensive executive leadership education at schools such as University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, University of Delaware Lerner College and University of Western Ontario's Ivey School of Business.
