Frank Villavicencio, joined ADP in late 2015, and heads ADP’s product team focusing on client identity and access management. His team is responsible for managing north of 40M identities and their access to over 70 ADP services. This means registration, authentication and termination of user access for various levels of assurance (admins, partners, practitioners, self-service users and applicants). He is currently leading the evolution of the identity platform into a single, global identity platform and the eradication of passwords in favor of more secure and convenient authentication methods. He has 20 years of experience in identity and access management spanning managing product portfolios at companies such as Oblix, Oracle and Citigroup. He is the inventor of 5 awarded patents related to identity and access management. Frank holds a MS in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University.

Frictionless Identity Verification As data hacks are increasing in frequency and sophistication, verifying users’ real identities as they access high-value services online (i.e. financial, pay, benefits, taxes, etc.) is becoming much harder today. Especially as consumers expect a superbly smooth user experience, service providers must work to reduce friction in a variety of consumer channels, while optimizing the balance of convenience with security; thus, requiring service providers to constantly reevaluate and find new optimal points. This session will review the latest challenges and trends in identity verification, as well as the new techniques being employed to tackle this problem—from AI-based solutions to collaboration with other institutions—with the goal of engaging in discussion around their effectiveness.
