Open Banking Around the World — Where Are We and What Have We Learned?
Open Banking is a major, ongoing IAM effort happening across a number of jurisdictions: the UK, Europe, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and so on. Each jurisdiction has its own take on Open Banking: the use cases relevant to their banking environment, and what it means for consumers and FinTechs. While every Open Banking effort is based on Auth2, there are significant differences to how the existing IAM standards are being implemented. This session will provide an overview of the current Open Banking projects around the world, and detail the (sometimes subtle) differences in each jurisdiction's implementation, from the point of view of all participants: banks, fintechs, and consumers.
