Sangeeta Ranjit

Sangeeta is a Principle PM Manager leading Customer Identity Access Management and B2B Collaboration for the Azure Active Directory business. She joined Microsoft in 2000 as a Software Engineer in the Windows team. As a Program Manager at Microsoft since 2006, Sangeeta evolved the user experiences for printing, cloud file sync, lock screen and sign in, and most recently Windows Hello - the biometrics authentication experiences in Windows, through multiple releases of Windows.

Sangeeta holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from SDM College of Engineering and Technology in India. She moved to the United States in 1999 to pursue a master’s degree in Computer Science. While at Microsoft, she also got her MBA from Seattle University. Sangeeta lives in the Seattle area where she enjoys exploring the hiking trails in her spare time.

Blurring the boundaries between CIAM and IAM
As digital relationships become more pervasive, organizations of all sizes, in all industries from start-ups to mid-size businesses and large enterprises have a need to enable seamless access to business processes and apps for employees and partners. And almost all of them also create applications and experiences that connect directly with customers. This web of relationships is changing the requirements for identity as a service and starting to blur the lines between IAM and CIAM. In this talk we'll explore some of the interesting use cases, and opportunities we see for systems to enable this cross pollination of identities.
