Description: Writing a technical specification takes more than just knowledge of the space. It takes persistence, collaboration, communication, and an understanding of the process. In this session, we will walk through the drafting and publication process for RFC 9068, “JSON Web Token (JWT) Profile for OAuth 2.0 Access Tokens.” Vittorio Bertocci will describe his experience, and Heather Flanagan will provide the behind-the-scenes look at the process. Understanding the process is half the battle of producing a good spec, and attendees at this session will leave with a much greater understanding of how the technical specifications they use every day are developed, and how they might be a part of developing new ones in the future.
