Session Abstract: Workload identities, which are different from workforce identities (used to manage employees/contractors/partners/customers) have seen dramatic increase in usage in the last few years. These identities are central to running services, APIs, accessing resources as part of IT workloads that are deployed in organizations irrespective of size. There are several challenges in managing workload identities – scope and definition, owner assignment, credential management of accounts, password/key rotation, governance actions to be taken due to ownership and workload changes. This class shows methodologies and policies an organization can adopt to define, manage and secure such identities.
