Jay Romero oversees the technology architecture, infrastructure strategy, services, and operations for Erickson Senior Living, a nation-leading developer and manager of continuing care retirement communities. Jay spearheaded the development and deployment of Erickson Connect, a service provided to the residents of Erickson Senior Living for phone/ wireless internet service. The service launched in 2014 and is currently being rolled out in 20 communities, which places Erickson in the top quartile of ISPs in the US. The Erickson Connect service runs on a highly converged, future-proofed, fiber optic network and serves as a key pillar of Erickson’s digital resident and IOT strategy. Much recently, Jay led the effort to transition the identity store to PingOne for their resident-facing app, My Erickson, which has 19,000 subscribers. Jay earned his Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics from Rutgers University. Prior to joining Erickson Senior Living in 2004, Jay spent several years in IT and Management Consulting working for and consulting at life sciences companies.
