Digital identity and privacy go hand in hand. In the past – and to some extent even now – individuals have to give up far more information that is necessary to conduct a transaction. Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) enable organizations and individuals to have greater control over their personal information. This session will give an overview of digital identity technologies that enable greater privacy, including zero knowledge proofs, self-sovereign identity, and other technologies that companies should be aware of to protect the privacy of individuals.
