In this session, we will look at how electronic document scan and facial biometric verification is used to tackle both security and business challenges in the Norwegian eID BankID. We will also review the effects on fraud, customer satisfaction, and other metrics from the first months of operations. BankID is Norway’s largest eID provider; providing digital identity to more than 90% of the population. BankID introduced fully remote identity verification for account recovery in early 2024.
