A company's IAM team is typically regarded as an internal Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) team. However, this team's clients actually extend beyond product development teams, who utilize its services to construct their projects, and also encompass end users, who employ their credentials directly to log into applications. These end users may comprise both customers and the company's own workforce. Managing thousands of application integrations, it is imperative for the IAM team to proactively educate these distinct sets of clients. Only by doing this will the IAM be able to proficiently handle their diverse requests. In this presentation, we will share insights gleaned from our experiences educating both internal engineers and end users. From a engineer's standpoint, IAM education plays a pivotal role in maintaining consistency in terms of security and user experience across all applications within a company’s development and production environments. On the end-user front, IAM education serves as a crucial measure for the IAM team, preventing an influx of support requests arising from user login issues.
