Joe currently works at Venafi as a Principal Product Security Engineer. He has spent the majority of his career working on security solutions at various companies including Cisco and Salesforce. He is especially focused in the areas of secure communications, authentication and authorization systems and secure development practices. Joe has been a leader in the development of security standards in organizations such as the IETF and IEEE for over 20 years. Currently he is a co-chair of multiple working groups in the IETF including Transport Layer Security (tls), Privacy Pass, and EAP methods (emu). He is also an active contributor and author of documents in the Workload Identity in Multi System Environments (wimse) working group.
