As Senior Vice President of Authentication Products at US Bank, Thomas Schraufnagel drives the adoption of authentication and identity solutions across the bank.  He leads his teams to deliver consistent and reusable solutions across channels and business lines to limit risk and fraud for their customers.  Thomas is a strong advocate for the potential of Digital IDs and Mobile Driver’s Licenses to create secure and seamless experiences for customers.  He helps drive the acceptance and adoption of Digital IDs through his participation in the Better Identity Coalition and The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) project for building reference architecture.  Thomas led a team in 2024 to demonstrate the use of California’s mDL for authenticating high-risk transactions which won US Bank an award for the “Most Scalable Solution."
