Andrew Shikiar is the CEO & Executive Director at FIDO Alliance, a global consortiumworking to eliminate the world’s dependence on passwords through creation of openstandards for simpler, stronger user authentication. He has been involved in the identity management sector since 2001 and also serves as an advisor to digital identity consultancy Liminal and early-stage VC firm 1414 Ventures. Shikiar has deep experience with multi-stakeholder organizations, having previously led market development efforts for Tizen Association and the Liberty Alliance Project.Shikiar has helped drive awareness and adoption of a variety of emerging technologies. Managerial roles at Sun Microsystems included PR and marketing leadership for the company's Java and identity management initiatives at their inception. Andrew was a founding executive at Radical Communication, an early entrant in the interactive email & analytics market, and also served as VP of Marketing & Business Development for machine learning pioneer BigML
