Dr. Koichi Moriyama is the Chief Security Architect, a Corporate Evangelist, and Head of Security Innovations Management, Corporate Strategy & Planning Department at NTT DOCOMO, INC. Dr. Moriyama drove innovations in mobile devices, products, and platform software and deployed “d ACCOUNT” Passwordless Authentication utilizing FIDO standards. To protect customers, he is now responsible for resolving unauthorized access, such as phishing attacks, by taking the initiative to work with entire teams within the company. Dr. Moriyama plays some roles in industry organizations, such as a Board of Directors at W3C, Inc., Secretary and Chair of FIDO Japan WG at FIDO Alliance, and a Board member at FeliCa Networks, Inc. Dr. Moriyama has previously held positions with Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, Inc. and Sony Corporation, received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Keio University, was a visiting research scholar at Georgia Institute of Technology while at Sony Corporation, and recently received Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Information Security, Yokoyama in Japan.
