Verifiable credentials (VCs) can be a game changer for the citizen experience. Replacing physical cards in your wallet with digital, interoperable ones proves to be a compelling value prop. In this session, we share our experience deploying at a country-level deployment of approximately 83,000 citizens. Use cases included bank account VCs, educational transcript VCs, and Vehicle Registration VCs. We explore key questions and deployment challenges deploying VCs at scale.
Some key questions we look to answer:
How do you drive interoperability and portability of the VC across various agencies (e.g., banking, education, and government)?
How do you drive adoption and buy in from top leadership and users?
What was the technical architecture used?
