Nick Steele is a Principal Architect at 1Password where he works on standards and security product R&D. He is a contributor and co-chair in the W3C, where has been working on WebAuthn and passkeys since 2017. More recently, he's authored the Credential Exchange Protocol (CXP) to help make credential portability more seamless and secure, and is co-chair of the FIDO Alliance's Technical Working Group. He likes bees, surfing, and occasionally, computers.
