A 30 year veteran of the digital identity industry, Alex currently serves as the Chief Product Officer for Semperis, the leader in AI powered hybrid identity security, organizational resilience and crisis response. Alex is responsible for directing product investments at Semperis to provide customers with a complete resilience solution for their identity fabric. Previously VP of Identity Security at Microsoft, leading the team that protected billions of consumer and enterprise users from unauthorized access, account takeover, and abuse and developed technologies such as Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and the Entra implementation of passkeys. 
Outside of work, he is passionate about interfacing with various humans, making stuff, sailing, photography, diving, off-roading and music. Alex serves on the board of Sound Experience (https://www.soundexp.org), and volunteers with the International Rescue Committee (https://rescue.org).
