With over 18 years of experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Governance, Monique Maimon has built a career at the intersection of technology, risk, and leadership. Monique began their career in the casino gaming industry, managing applications, databases, and navigating stringent regulatory environments. They later transitioned into healthcare technology, expanding expertise in systems administration, storage administration, networking, and cybersecurity.
As a former IT Director for a managed service provider supporting government subcontractors, Monique developed a strong foundation in federal compliance, multi-tenant operations, and secure infrastructure design with designing the cybersecurity program from the ground up. These experiences shaped a deep understanding of how governance, security, and technology intersect to drive organizational resilience.
In their current role as Cybersecurity & IT Systems Architect at Jaros, Baum & Bolles, Monique leads initiatives focused on infrastructure modernization, operational efficiency, risk management, and enterprise security strategy.
An engaged leader in the professional community, Monique serves as President of the ISACA Las Vegas Chapter, with previous roles as Academics Director and Vice President, and actively contributes to (ISC)² and ISSA. She holds a variety of certifications across the industry — CISM, AAISM, CISSP, VMware VCP, MCSA, certifications with other vendors like Dell, Proofpoint and multiple CompTIA credentials, including Security+, CySA+, and SecurityX. She is also an accredited ISACA CISM Trainer, guiding the next generation of cybersecurity and governance professionals. Monique recently contributed to the development of CompTIA’s A+ (220-1200) certification series, supporting the future of workforce readiness in IT.
A frequent speaker, panelist, and webinar host, Monique has shared insights at national and regional industry events, including CrowdStrike Fal.Con 2025, ISACA chapter conferences, Cybersecurity Risk Alliance, and professional development webinars focused on AI governance, cyber resilience, and leadership in technology.
