Michael Wachell is Lead Engineer of Identity at the National Football League, where he is responsible for the authentication platform powering NFL.com, id.nfl.com, mobile, and connected TV experiences. His work spans consumer identity at scale, including authentication, token lifecycle management, consent systems, and identity provider integrations serving tens of millions of users. He is currently leading a CIAM transformation across the NFL’s digital ecosystem, focused on modernizing authentication infrastructure with standards-based identity, multi-provider interoperability, and operational resilience.
