David Chan currently serves as the Director of IAM at the University of Southern California (USC), where he oversees the identity program across a federated environment of 23 schools and units. With over 20 years+ of experience within EY's IAM practice, including 7+ years as Managing Director, David has led the design and execution of IAM transformations at large, complex environments across various Fortune 250 companies. Currently, he is focused on the modernizing the identity program at USC as it anticipates growth and takes on centerstage as a key venue of the LA28 Games. Specifically, he is focused on addressing the proliferation of non-human identities (NHI) and to bake-in security guardrails across the University. David is a frequent contributor to the global identity community and a regular speaker at security and IAM conferences.
