As VP - Director of Information Services & CISO at Federated Insurance, I lead enterprise technology and cybersecurity programs spanning security operations, infrastructure, application development, and digital platforms. Over nearly two decades with Federated, I have progressed from a software developer and enterprise project manager into executive roles, building high-performing teams and advancing a culture of security, innovation, and resilience across the organization.   I enjoy contributing to the cybersecurity community as a chair/co-chair of several groups, an active advisor of multiple emerging and established security companies and have been recognized as a recipient of the 2024 Minnesota CISO ORBIE Award, a 40 Under 40 in cybersecurity leadership, and as an honoree of the 2026 Resilient CISO Award. Passionate about leadership and impact beyond the workplace, I’m also deeply involved in several charitable initiatives including 16+ years as a “Big” for Big Brothers, Big Sisters (BBBS) while also raising over $4 million a year through the Federated Challenge for BBBS, and a Board Member of CIOs Against Cancer where we’ve raised over $3 million dollars the past few years in support of early stage cancer research through the American Cancer Society. I also have enjoyed mentoring several individuals in and out of our organization—bringing both technical expertise and a grounded, people-first perspective to the evolving cybersecurity and identity and access landscape.
