The fundamental purpose of identity credentials is to establish trust: trust that the presenter is who they say they are; trust that they have appropriate access, privilege, or legal status to go about their business; and trust that the information they are presenting is accurate. Trusting a credential without first verifying its authenticity, though, leaves relying parties and credential holders alike open to fraud.
Attendees will hear about advancements in consuming identity credentials and learn how to leverage a host of tools that are available to establish the veracity of both physical and ISO/IEC 18013-5 compliant digital credentials.
Presenters will discuss updates to the Driver License Data Verification Service [DLDV], the AAMVA Card Design Standards, and the Design Principles and Guidance for Secure DL/ID Cards, as well as updates on ISO/IEC 18013-5 mobile driver licenses in North America and how the AAMVA Digital Trust Service will provide assurance and trust to grow mDL acceptance globally.
