The Kantara Initiative focuses on innovation in the digital identity marketplace to enhance privacy and security, especially in the protection of personal data. This workshop will showcase how Kantara's work groups are solving burning issues arising in digital identity and engaging with stakeholders, including relying parties and users, in problem-solving and development of resources to make a difference. Kantara has five new workgroups rolling out in 2026. Topics to be tackled include: Shadow AI in the Workplace, Blinding Identity Taxonomy, Digital Identity Risk Universe, Biometric Data, Trusted Transaction Assurance, and others, alongside existing work groups on Privacy-Enhancing Mobile Credentials, Anchored Notice and Consent Receipt, User Managed Access, and Resilient Identifiers for Under-served Populations. More opportunities for new workgroups will be announced before the conference. This is the chance to learn about these work areas and volunteer to lead efforts to solve the issues confronting today's digital identity workplace.
