Juliana is a digital identity strategist with 27+ years spanning venture-backed startups and global standards leadership. Her core mission: re‑architect the Trust Fabric to move industries beyond rigid IAM and into a state of Adaptive Trust. In a world shaped by GenAI deepfakes and autonomous agents, identity can no longer be static it must be a living process defined by context, behaviour, and environment.
Juliana drives the shift from “identity storage” to dynamic Assured Facts, embedding privacy and security by design while neutralising agentic risk and enabling economic growth. She bridges policy and enterprise orchestration to make digital identity a strategic driver of competitive advantage.
Currently, Juliana supports ENISA on digital wallet certification and leads OpenID Foundation work on eKYC/CIP metadata for mobile driver’s licences (mDL). Previously at Microsoft, she co‑architected the NIST NCCoE mDL project and led global standards initiatives. Her portfolio spans EMV, ISO 18013, ISO 27001, NIST SP 800‑63/800‑53, FAPI, PCI DSS, and Digital Wallets driving trust and interoperability across ecosystems. She co‑chaired DIACC’s Trust Framework Expert Committee, founded two mobile payments companies, and was named one of Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40.
