Christine Abruzzi has 30 years of IT and cybersecurity experience, including: digital identity assurance and federation; international standards development; securing the internet of things (IoT); IT systems security; PKI; information security policies; and solutions development and implementation. Since 2015, she has had the privilege of supporting the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in various aspects of its cybersecurity program, as well as in its mission to secure, protect, standardize, and enhance the privacy of our nation’s online identities. Christine is the editor and co-author of NIST SP 800-63A-4 "Digital Identity Guidelines - Identity Proofing and Enrollment," the co-author of NISTIR 8149 - "Developing Trust Frameworks to Support Identity Federations," and she wrote the conformance criteria for NIST SP 800-63A revision 3.
Christine lives in her adopted home state of West Virginia with her husband, David, and their Australian Cattle Dog/some-kind-of-hound mix, Hazel.
