Rich leads the strategy function at Veza. This includes driving long-term direction and key new initiatives across product, go-to-market, growth, competitive positioning, and strategic marketing. Rich previously led product management across all products at Okta from 2014 to 2018 through their IPO. He also led the product management team for Data Loss Prevention at Symantec and managed several products at security startups Vontu and IronPort Systems. He began his career in management consulting at Mitchell Madison Group, earned his Ph.D. in materials science at Caltech and his undergraduate degree in physics from Stanford. Outside of work, Rich enjoys long walks on his treadmill desk and devising clever new techniques to limit his boys' screen time, often unsuccessfully.
