Nick Steele is a security researcher and identity expert from Brooklyn, New York. He is a contributor and co-chair in the W3C, and has been working on WebAuthn since 2017. He is currently a Staff Product Manager at 1Password (where he hopes to change the name to 0Password) and previously was a Technical Lead at Cisco Systems focussed on passwordless development and digital identity. He has been working in cybersecurity for a decade, working closely with the FIDO Alliance for the past 5 years and acting as a technical advisor to startups and SMBs in the identity space.
